Senior Citizens' DiscountIf you are over 65 years of age, you will receive $0.05 off per gallon of heating oil (cannot be used in combination with any other offers).
Volume DiscountsIf you own or manage a large building or apartment house, you may qualify for heating oil volume discounts. Please call or contact our office to learn more.
Refer a FriendReceive $20 off your next heating oil delivery when you recommend a new customer to F&S Petroleum. (Your referral must be on automatic heating oil delivery for one year with approved credit.)
Bioheat® Tax CreditsBioheat consumers who live in residential buildings, including single- and multi-family homes, apartment buildings, co-ops and condos will receive a minimum New York State tax credit of two cents per gallon (one cent for every percentage of biodiesel used in the heating oil blend, up to 20 cents; the New York City mandate requires a minimum 2% biodiesel/heating oil blend). This tax credit remains in effect through 2016.
To receive your tax credit, please call or contact us. We will tell you the percentage of biodiesel included in your heating oil, and supply statements documenting how much heating oil you've consumed. To receive your tax credits, residential taxpayers should file Form IT-241, and corporate taxpayers should file Form CT-241. Please consult with your accountant or tax professional.
Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP)HEAP is a federally funded program that issues heating benefits to supplement a household's annual energy cost. HEAP also offers an emergency benefit for households in a heat or heat-related energy emergency. Additionally, HEAP offers a furnace repair and/or replacement benefit for households with inoperable heating equipment.
You may be eligible for a Regular Benefit if:
- You are a United States citizen or qualified alien AND
- Your income is at or below the current income guides, OR you receive Food Stamps, OR you receive Temporary Assistance, OR you receive Code A Supplemental Security Income.
You may apply for HEAP benefits by mail, in person at your local social services office, over the phone, or over the Internet. Please visit the New York State HEAP website to find out more about this program.
